The 55-and-up art crowd

The Franke Tobey Jones senior community in Tacoma is in search of artists aged 55 or up for its 2021 Senior Art Show, which will take place Oct. 15 -17 in the M.J. Wicks Wellness Center.

The work of artists 55 and older will be on display during an art show at the Franke Tobey Jones senior community in Tacoma.

The show, which will start with an opening reception Oct. 14, will be curated by Heide Fernandez-Llamazares, public art portal manager for the Washington State Arts Commission. The jurors will be Elise Richman, an art professor at the University of Puget Sound, Allison Hyde, an artist and the arts coordinator for the City of Auburn, and Lynn Di Nino, the 2017 recipient of the Washington State Governor’s Artist of the Year Award.
