Doing their part for parks

More than 20 green-thumbed residents of Mirabella Seattle, a senior living community in Seattle near Lake Union, have been rolling up their sleeves and helping beautify one of the parks connected by the Market to MOHAI Corridor. They and other volunteers planted 10,000 daffodils and tulip bulbs last fall at Lake Union Park. The Mirabella participants included (pictured from left) Jean Hall, Carolyn Blount and Pat Aiken. Also among the volunteers were students form Morningside Academy and members of Friends of Lake Union Park.
