Free help with taxes at libraries

Through mid-April, volunteers from AARP Tax-Aide and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) will provide free one-on-one tax consultations at four Pierce County Library System locations. Similar service is available at branches of King County Library System.

The schedule for Pierce County libraries: Sumner branch, 1116 Fryar Ave., Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23; March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and April 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. South Hill branch, 15420 Meridian E., Feb. 12 and 26, March 19 and April 9, from 3 to 6 p.m. Parkland-Spanaway branch, 9202 224th St. E., Feb. 16 and 23, March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and April 6 and 13, 1-4 p.m. Eatonville branch, 205 Center St W., March 9, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and April 2, 3-6 p.m. Information: https://www.piercecountylibrary.org/community-resources/tax.htm.
