TREE LIGHTINGS, PARADES, LIGHTED DISPLAYS

Auburn Santa Parade and tree lighting: Dec. 3, 25 W Main St., 4:30 p.m. Free.

Des Moines tree-lighting: Dec. 3, Big Catch Plaza, 21640 Marine View Dr. S. Free.

Fantasy Lights: Spanaway Park, hosted by Pierce County Parks and Recreation, nightly 5:30-9 p.m. through Jan. 1. Tickets at venue.

Federal Way: Dec. 3, 4 p.m. at Town Square Park, 31600 Pete von Reichbauer Way S.

Kent tree lighting: Winterfest, Dec. 3, Town Square Plaza, 426 W. Smith St., 3-6 p.m. Free.

Lakewood Parade of Lights: Dec. 10, 4:30-5:30 p.m., City Hall. Free.

Puyallup Lighted Santa Parade: Dec. 3, 5-6 p.m., downtown on Meridian. Free.

Wild Lanterns: Woodland Park Zoo, through Jan. 22, 4-9 p.m. Information: zoo.org

As in past years when classic cars and fire trucks were part of the procession, the Lakewood Parade of Lights will be staged Dec. 10–one of a multitude of holiday events in Pierce and King counties.

MUSIC

Sing Along Handel’s Messiah: December 4, 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 8211 112th St. SW., Lakewood. TREES

Tree giveaway and planting event: Dec. 10, Meridian Habitat Park  14422 Meridian E., South Hill. Free trees 10 a.m.-12 p.m. to take home; join Santa Claus as a volunteer to plant trees 9:30-10:30 a.m., 11-12, 12:30-1:30. Hosted by Pierce County Parks and Recreation.

DOGS
