Point Defiance Village, an independent senior living community in Tacoma, has been named one of the best in the nation based on feedback in online reviews.

The “Caring Star” recognition comes an annual nationwide program honoring service excellence through consumer ratings and reviews posted on Caring.com, a senior care website. Point Defiance Village is one of 34 Holiday Retirement-operated communities included among the award winners that were announced in November.

Point Defiance Village had an average rating of 4.5 or higher (on a scale of 1 to 5) in at least 10 or more reviews from family, seniors and others considering senior-living options, including assisted-living and Alzheimer’s care.
