Robyn Meier, administrator of Peoples Retirement Community, has received the Administrator of the Year Award for 2013 from the Washington Health Care Association (WHCA). 

The award recognizes an assisted-living administrator who demonstrates outstanding innovation, achievement and capabilities in providing “high quality, person-centered care in a service oriented culture,” a WHCA spokesman said. 

Meier’s leadership, dedication, integrity and high standard of ethical behavior were some of the contributing factors leading to her selection for the award, according to WHCA.

Chris Mason, president of Senior Housing Investors, accompanied Meier at the award ceremony.

Peoples Retirement Community is located in Tacoma.
