Ballots for the primary election in August have been mailed to voters by the Pierce County and King County election departments.

Depending on where they live, voters will be deciding funding measures for towns and fire districts, as well as candidates for local offices. For the latter, the top finishers will advance to the general election in November.

Primary ballots were mailed approximately July 15, and voter pamphlets before that by county election offices. The actual election day is Aug. 2, the date when ballots must be postmarked for mailing or deposited in official dropboxes.

Voters who didn’t receive a ballot or want election information can contact the Pierce County elections department at 253-798-8683 and auditor@piercecountywa.gov, or the King County department at 206-296-8683 and elections@kingcounty.gov.
